Ok, I'm about ready to just give up on all of these mods. I installed the Portal Mod exactly like the instructions said,

I ran the Portal DB Setup program, the installation went smoothly. Now when I went to the setup.asp file or any of the files in my main directory, which I don't want there anyway I get this error message

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0126'

Include file not found

/Resources.asp, line 3

The include file 'Forum/inc_functions.asp' was not found.

with the portal MOD it might be better to just download the one available on this site: http://heilpaedagogik.121host.net/portal/

It's a ready made forum, it would replace your current forum, but it's really easy to setup. And it includes some other MODS as well.

Look in the forum directory for inc_functions.asp, if it's not there, put it there. This would apply to any include file that might not be found. I also felt more comfortable changing all the <include file= to <include virtual=

I put all the files in their appropriate places, according to the instructions. And it's there.

How is this different than the other portal mod?

If resources.asp can't find Forum/inc_functions.asp, there has got to be a problem.

It's a whole complete forum, you won't need to edit any files except for the config.asp file to pick your database type and connection string.
