I have a thread that is about 42 pages long. I'd like to split it into 2 - is there a way to just move some of the messages?

Or, is there a way to copy the thread over to another section, while maintaining the original?

It seems that I've only been able to figure out how to move an entire thread.

You are correct. You can only move the whole thread, not part of it.
