.NET Core 8 version

I am now getting pretty close to releasing a new version of the Forum code, so in the next week or so I will be updating the code base here to use the new version, it has significant improvements in both CPU and memory usage and overall is much quicker.
It can also run on both Windows and Linux servers.
This site may be down for a couple of days when I do the migration, once it has been updated you may be required to update your password as it may not satisfy the new minimum password criteria
If you want to see what the new code base is like, you can take a look Here It is running on a Raspberry Pi hosted at home so many not be the most performant of sites

I have successfully tested an upgrade of the Snitz database used here, so an upgrade is going to be coming this week, when it is done you should be able to just log right in bigsmile
There is a big HOWEVER!
  • If your current password is not strong enough to satisfy the new Identity password check you will be required to update your password when you first log in.
  • If you have forgotten your password, do not despair, if the password you enter does not match your current password, you will be sent an email to confirm your identity before updating your password.
(The email will come from postmaster@reddick.co.uk, please encure you have this address in your whitelist)
