Embedding Facebook iFrame into posts
04 May 2016, 02:25

Is it possible to create a button that when clicked allows a user to embed Facebook video iframe code and display it?
A typical embed code is:
Code:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Funiladmag%2Fvideos%2F2260410123982034%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>

Yes, but it's dangerous to allow. A malicious site could easily be embedded which would then infect every user who viewed it.

That's going the other direction - sharing from the forum to Facebook.
It sounds like Webbo's looking for something like the video MOD that would allow embedding a Facebook video in a post in a manner similar to one of the MODs that allows you to embed a YouTube video.
Depending on how it's done, it might not be as bad a security risk. Don't hear what I'm not saying - that also doesn't mean it isn't without risk.

Iframes are dangerous no matter what. As soon as one spammer realizes they are allowed you'll be overrun with spam and cookie stuffers.
