I apologize for the length of this email, but quickest way for me to get the info to you.
1. You will need to modify the red code found in moddb.asp Path needs to be changed to match your server folder structure. objvbsMOD( "MdbPath" ) = "../fpdb/mod.mdb"
objvbsMOD( "Sql" ) = "SELECT * FROM tblData"
' **** Declare global settings ****
objvbsMOD( "GlobalId" ) = "mod"
objvbsMOD( "GlobalCSS" ) = "/style/pmo.css"
objvbsMOD( "GlobalImageDir" ) = "../images/"
2. Following files included in ZIP:
a. Default.asp – Only an EXAMPLE of how the database can be incorporated into SnitzBitz. It ‘includes’ moddb.asp for data display. b. Moddb.asp – Page based on VBSdb that displays data There is much more info I can pass along, but time and space (this email) do not permit that. Ex: If you have a login process, you can allow data EDIT/ADD based on permission. c. Pmo.css – style sheet (Should be renamed to your choice; change code in #1 above to match name
d. All other files in this ZIP were captured from your website. None are needed to make moddb.asp function. They are included solely to allow you to set up same demo that I have here.
e. Modcheck.asp – A non-working EXAMPLE of how I use permissions to allow/deny web page/data access. This page is ‘included’ in any page I wish to protect via permissions. It is NOT needed for MOD database to work. f. navinfo.asp – A ‘popup’ (new browser window) to explain the search results ‘position’ info. Link on demo default.asp page opens this page.
3. I don’t intend to just dump this on you. I am more than willing to help you tweak the web pages to suit you. But I don’t want to bother you… so I won’t send a lot of emails. I am counting on YOU letting me know what you want me to do. Since I am more familiar with VBSdb, I’m willing to tailor that to your needs.
Okay… that’s it. I’m kind of burned out tonight. Hope I didn’t forget anything major!! Please don’t be bashful!!
Regards

My intention is *not* to get into a 'urinating' contest.. Rather, I simply would like to see this valuable tool made available for use to the Snitz community. I want no credit... you may have it all.
