Finding orphaned files
27 May 2008, 14:38

I'm preparing to migrate one of my internal work sites to a new server, and I know there are a large number of useless files floating around as a result of my OTJ learning. Does anyone know of a script or program that will run through the code and see what files are still in use and which ones have been orphaned? I've got a pretty good idea on most of them, but there are a few that I'm not quite certain of... (natch)<

Rename all the files and see what errors are raised.
For the benefit of others bigsmile OTJ = On the job

I was planning on doing a little testing before the move was finalized. tongue Fortunately I can test this first before I take the old copy down. Basically I'm moving from having a section of a Win2k server to having my own (virtual) Win2k3 server. bigsmile I was just hoping for a quicker way of checking.<
