Admin-only posting new topics, anyone can reply...

I'm looking for a way to designate one forum one where only administrators may post new topics, though anyone may respond to the threads once posted. Any ideas on how to do that?

You need to find someone who has the Posting Restrictions MOD.<

Easiest way is to enable moderation on that forum for topics only and just delete any topics posted by other members.

I can mod my mod to do what you want It's similar bur reversed. I don't have time now but can probably find time later today to do this.<

ah that would be excellent, phy. Short of that, the moderation would work, though that would require moderation of responses as well yes? Not ideal, but feasible. Thanks.<

No, you can set the moderation on a per forum basis to be either:
- No moderation for this forum, - All posts moderated, - Original posts only moderated, or, - Replies only moderated.

hi, i have managed to get the Posting Restrictions MOD that Huwr made ages ago to work with the snitz 3.4+ Click me to download simple run the dbs file or paste the contents of it into the alternative mod setup then either copy over the modified files or search through them file for '## Posting Restrictions ##
these modified files are the standard snitz install files.<
