Paying for a download?
21 September 2007, 20:01

Alright I just wanted to see if anyone had done anything like this before.
This is what I am trying to do I have a whole upload section that the people I let can upload their scripts and choose if its free or not.

Now the free section and everything works perfectly. The next step is to get the paid scripts to work properly. Basically I am going to set up 6 different price levels lets say that these levels are:

$5 $10 $15 $20 $25 $30

Now this they would select in a dropdown and depending on the price level that would automatially generate the link to the proper place to purchase the product.

Now a customer that comes would click the Pay To Download link then once they click it that takes them to the paysource to pay. Once they pay it will take them to the proper download. Anyone know how to do this or an easier way then what I am think of how to do this?
Thanks any suggestions would be great right now. smile<

We did it for a client years ago in Cold Fusion. If it was in .net or ASP I would share.<

smile Thanks though for the thought. I am trying to integrate this into the forum. I am working on this with paypal standard. I guess if I get it working I will share the code. But it is actually connected to the file library<

My Paypal donations setup allows me to specify where to send a donor after a successful transaction, such as landng them back to my site on a "Thanks for donating" page.
Might something like that work for you?<

WEll except I need it to redirect back to my site and have the download they just purchased popup for them to save to their desktop.
But i am looking if I can pass any values across my site to paypal and back to mysite to instigate the download.
Thanks for the suggestion

If that can be done dynamically, then it will work for him.<
