Thanks OWM smile I knew someone would know what it was - although I didn't know that it seems to do categories and not forums.

I actually thought search2 was a better way of searching over and above search.
Doesn't matter, just some members complaining that their searches timeout.<

It is because it allows you to search by category so their is less likelihood of it timing out<

The zip location is still at onewaymule.com, a domin that is dead. The link to the local search works, but I want to download the file to install.

not to be a pain, but does anyone have the code for the search2 that is demonstrated here:

Most of my users need simpler and this functions similar to the original one, only it does not seem to time out.
The search_cat.zip I will have to mod; it will not run since I added a poll mod to my forum.
