Complaint Manager Mod for Snitz 3.4
Complaint Manager Mod is designed for Snitz board owners who wants their users report illegal, spam, unapproperiate posts to moderators of their boards. This mod is complete remake of previous Report to Moderator mod (Copyright (c) Kovan Abdulla: kovan@home.com www.alkitab.net) for earlier Snitz versions.
After install your moderators and admins will see "Complaints" link to complaintmanager.asp and on header, they will see how many reports from users they have in their access areas. Administrators can delete older Solved Tickets, however moderators and administrators can change status of a complaint ticket to 'unsolved'

It was called Report to Moderator that he stated in his readme file. Still it should reference the original creator and that the MOD is merely a revised mod. <

greetings,

Yes, I know this mod has been for a while. However, there is nothing similiar to this mod and how it works beside values carried on Query Strings. As I said it is complete re-write with different database setup and management consoles and all.

I checked your links and actually I am not refered to this mod. I used very old one as taking referer and there was no readme file about who actually made it. I would like the name of original file first. But as I said, there is not a single line that has been taken from old mod beside querystrings sent through pages.<

Hi,

Originally, as far back as I have on record, the second release of this MOD (Report To Moderator R2) (Snitz Topic_ID 9295) was created around or before May 2001 with notation such as this for the author: Copyright (c) Kovan Abdulla: kovan@home.com www.alkitab.net

However, when I last installed the MOD, I had to modify it quite a bit for my needs. Also, it was designed for versions prior to Snitz 3.4.xx.
I'm looking forward to what you have done with it.
Customarily, when a MOD is remodded, credit is given to the original author(s) even if it is a complete rewrite of most of the original code. It helps folks keep track of who has done what and what MODs are moving forward.
This is not to limit you though in providing the community a fresh presentation of an older MOD. Many MODs are left to the authors to update and as a result the MODs fall into disuse which is often a waste of stunning brilliance and treasured charity.
Thank you for spending your time bringing this to us! smile
Cheers,

Etymon

SiSL, I get a error (only) when a compl. is reported from the first post. In the code it is telling the forum to get action=REPORT&REPLY_ID. Is the first post a reply?<

Can you send a link to text version of your topic.asp?
Or more questions:
Are you getting error while reporting or in complaintmanager screen?<

@SiSL, there is no error when posting. Only when the mod (ore admin) is trying to solve the complain.

@Image: thanks for the link, in complaintmanager.asp, pop_report.asp, pop_complaint_showpost.asp is the line inc_func_common.asp present. So that is one time to mutch.<

MOD works very well ... thank you!
One request ... how could I make it so that when there are complaints, they show up in RED on inc_header, much as Private Messages do?<

I found another error.
When using the "report to moderator" link in topic.asp ... if your Topic_Subject field has a colon in it, it stops the Javascript from passing the querystring. I didn't see a useage in the code for passing the Topic_Subject, so I deleted that part of the querystring. That fixed the error.
Cheers,

Etymon
