I would like to know if it is possible to do the following:
- send an automatic email when someone add a new topic or reply to an existing

- Add permission to forum:
Imagine i have categories1 and forum2, and two differents users : user1 and user2.
I would like that user1 only see forum1 and user2 only see forum2. (so user1 does not see forum2 and user2 does not see forum1).
I have search everywhere and i think that this is not possible right now (but easy to do). I have the last version v34_05.

Both are possible unless I'm mistaken.
1. Enable subscriptions in the admin area and you can then set up subscriptions on each category and forum (via the main page) according to how you want.
2. Enable "Private Forums" in the admin area. Goto the main page of your forum. Edit forum1 and select "Allowed Member List (Hidden)" and give user2 permission to view the forum. Edit forum2 and select "Allowed Member List (Hidden)" and add user1 permission to view the forum. <
