i'm building a intranet forum in which employees can write entries. i will use the Integrated Windows Authentication.
it would be great if there is a possibility to import informations such as e-mail adress and emplayee name from AD. is there any way of doing that?
now only some employees (still some hundred) should be able to access the forum. but there is no specific group of them. the only thing they got in common are the first 2 letters of the department-tag. is it possible to check the users department-tag for the first 2 letters?
Its going to require some modification on both counts, but it should be possible. Look in register.asp (the specific spot eludes me at the moment) and inc_func_common.asp (search for "NT Authentication" and you'll find the related functions).<
