Well, while you're sitting there waiting for God to help you, maybe I can help.
Are you using the Access 97 connection string in your config.asp file? It has been known that it gives some problems when using the Access 97 connection. Try using the Access 2000 connection string.

Did you try changing the file properties of the database so that they are read and write?

For that errror, you can do a search on the forums for "Operation must use an updateable query."
What exactly were you trying to do? Install a mod? If so, which mod? Was your forums working before? Or are you trying to do a clean install of the forum? It would be good also if you could provide a link to your forum.

Ohh, you're using HuwR's customized version of the forums. I can't help you with that. You would need HuwR to help you with it.
If you change this post title to something more descriptive, like "Help using HuwR's custom Snitz" or something like that, he will pop in and see if he can help you.
Sorry.

Your first problem is that the permissions on your database are not correct, it must be given read/write and modify rights for the IUSR_DOMAIN account.
