I have a forum at http://www.orthodoxforum.com

Recently when you open the site the very first page tries to put a cookie from a japanese porn site on your computer. I have no idea how this happened or how to fix it but it is definately not something we want around. Please help!

Edit each of your forum's properties and check their descriptions. That was done by adding an iframe to the description of one or more forums.

Check to make sure you have updated your forum with the latest (Dec 1) security patch. There have been numerous reports of hackers making themselves admins due to that particular bug. Also, as rui and the team have suggested to others, subscribe to the Security Fixes forum to keep up to date on these things.

Can we start a column or something posting the IP'S of the hackers we know of? Just a thought. May not even be a good idea, but personally I would like to know the IP'S so that I could block them. I know that IP's change, but maybe we could block the one's we know of and when they come back around we could have it blocked. Any other ideas on how to keep up on blocking hackers?

The best way would be to approve all registrations manually. They are just a few, almost always from locations in Asia or Turkey, so looking at IPs before approving them is enough to reject them.

Please follow the above posts. If you have a specific question then post it. Can we help? Yes, but only if we know where the problem is.

In my case, those who sent spam posts before came from the US.
