Can anyone see the problem with the menu here? In IE6 and occasionally in IE7, the submenus disappear when you move your mouse down from the first link to the second and I can't for the life of me see what the problem is. Or rather, I can't for the life of me see any differences in my code between this site and others that I've used the same menu on that would cause this problem.

<edit>Fixed by assigning a height to the list item tags in the submenu, something I've never had to do before</edit>

Nope, just CSS.

Thats cool I need to learn how to do mouseover menues with CSS I have a feeling that they are better to use than Javascript.

Or is my thinking wrong?

Nope, your thinking is very right There's not much to them really; the hardest part is actually getting the look right. And once CSS3 becomes more widely supported, you'll be able to do a lot more - have a look here using Firefox or Safari.

Wow is that the CSS3 for a trans background?

You care if I steel some of that code so I can start using it cause I think it would be so much better than the javascript I am using to do it.

Yup, opacity was introduced in CSS3. Before that you'd have to use a proprietary attribute such as filter or -moz-opacity. Help yourself to whatever you want, bearing in mind that, while the code behind the full CSS3 version might be easier to read, a lot of what I've used is not yet supported by a good few browsers.
