Hi,

I have a Snitz Forums 2000 Version 3.4.03 installed on the company's web server at a professional hosting service, but the mail server is a Microsoft Exchange Server installed in the office.

The e-mail server configuration settings are:

Select E-mail Component: ASPEmail
E-mail Mode: On
E-mail Server Address: mail.kevynaucoin.com
Administrator E-mail Address: info@kevynaucoin.com
Require Unique E-mail: On
E-mail Validation: On
Restrict Registration: Off
Require Logon for sending Mail: On

I know e-mails are being sent from the forum, because I saw a bounce back from an in-house e-mail account that did not exist. That is Keith@kevynaucoin.com registered in the forum. Since his e-mail address does not exist on the mail server, I received a bouce back stating that the user name was invalid.

However, when I or anyone else tries to register, we do not receive the e-mail which contains the validation link.

Did I miss a setting in the forum software? Is it possible to use a mail server not on the same server as the forum? Should I just turn off the e-mail validation?

thank you in advance,
Mark

If they are being sent, that likely means the problem is with the email server. There are posts about using Exchange Server, maybe try the search feature.

This is definitely outta my league, so I apologize for not being able to help.

I have solved my problem of the link. But I would like to correct it such that the whole link appears and clickable.

Check the forum URL, in Admin Options. Make sure it is correct.

I did check that and corrected it. My main problem is how to correct the register.asp in order for the link sent to members emails are clickable because some of my members have a problem with copy paste technique!
Thank in advance

What do you want to do to make it clickable?
