I get this error whenever I try to do anything on my forums
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Operation must use an updateable query.
/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 644
I just got a new computer, and re-installed windows 98 second edition with Internet Explorer 5.5, and I cannot log into any snitz forums and have it save my user/pass. It says "You have logged on successfully" but it doesn't. I have to re-login with the "save password" check unchecked or I cannot post.
http://www.topprospectalert.com/forum/default.asp/
that's the forum with the error.
Thanks for any help

Carve those turns and give your webserver account change permissions to the database file and folder.

What do you mean by "Carve those turns?"
I'll talk to my host.

It's a ski-school thing, at least back in the dark ages when I taught. Watch the way a slalom racer's skis seldom skid - they are carving, the skier's weight is on the outside ski and the edge of the ski is biting in the snow. Carving allows sharper turns while keeping your speed up.
Is this OT or what?

And any info on the logging on and saving password? Is it something wrong with my browser?

Check your cookie settings in IE 5.5
You have to goto the Security Tab of the IE Internet Options |

They are all enabled, and it still doesn't work
This is getting annoying.
