I recently discovered a slight bug with my modiied forum. Does anyone know how I can have a non repeating element placed within a repeating element. I felt the header (i.e. Forum, Topic, Post, Last Post ect...) needed to be within the Category Name. Until now I thought I was successful with this implementation until I attempted to create another forum. I then realized thethe two forums shared a single option to minimize and maximize. I moved the sniplet of code into the HideForumCat function which worked beautifully unless I had multiple forums within this category. In which case the header info would repeat with every new forum. Is there a way to have it read like as follows: New Category Forum Topic Post New Forum Forum Stuff
Another Forum Forum Stuff End Category
Right now it displays like this if I want it to be minimized with the rest of the category: New Category Forum Topic Post New Forum Forum Stuff
Forum Topic Post Another Forum Forum Stuff End Category

could you try and explain a little better, or maybe an image of what you mean, it may be just me but I don't follow what you are trying to do. |

Here is a screen shot of it in its buggy state:

If you notice within each category (Pols, Smoke Rises Main Forum, VIP Lounge) If I were to create multiple forums within any of those categories the Category header info would repeat with each forum. Does this help? |

Cheers! It's for Friendship, Fun & Romance so don't feel too guilty about joining ; you wouldn't be the first married man on the site.
Back to the problem at hand, can you post a *.txt copy of your default.asp file?

It is a bit different from the screen shot because I have been playing with a few things...but you will notice the repeating element ight away. There are actually two seperate issues. I would like the border to wrap each category as well. I think once one piece is figured out then the other will be easy :)

I fixed the border issue and have uploaded the new change to the txt file. Fresh coffee and sleep does the trick some times...heh |

I don't know...the more I think about it and look at it with the new change to the border....I think it looks better this way and that I may want to consideer having the info repeat. I have uploaded the changes so let me know what ya'll think:

Let me rephrase this....I think I can live with it because after looking at it even more it seems too busy. But if I can't get around it repeating then I can live with it I suppose.
Thanks! |

The below statement is the closest I have gotten and considering my particular needs would be more then enough solution for my forum but you may want to consider revising it to be a bit more flexible:
if iForum = "0" or iForum = "1" or iForum = "3" then
My Header Stuff
End If
Here is what it looks like:
