Just edit the topic and choose which forum you want to move it to.

Hi, i see how to move a topic to a different forum. But my problem is that someone has posted a new topic instead of replying to posts in an existing topic. I want what this user has said to be moved into an existing topic, then delete the new one he created.

How?!?!

Thanks in advance,
Rob

You cant do that without editing the forum basecode.

ok, then is it possible to prevent new topics being added (except by moderators and administrators)? ie to prevent this happening in the future?

Edit the category and turn on Moderation. The the admin or moderators of that category will have to approve the new topic before it appears to the public.

Hi, sorry - im a bit of a novice with the snitz forums! I have the main category (only one)
then in that i have two forums... guestbook and archive. The archive only contains stuff from before i had the forum online so i dont want anyone to be able to add topics in there. How do i go about doing that? (i do want ppl to add topics to the guestbook forum)

See http://latinquarter.net4students.co.uk/forum/default.asp

if i've mumbled too much there!

thanks

You'd probably be better by locking the forum. Then only admins and moderators would be able to post there.

From my understanding they want members to post topics, they just want to approve them first.
