i have recently put a snitz forum on my site. during testing i noticed that if you followed the link on the login page to retrieve a forgotten password, a link is sent to the users mailbox, but it does not work! only half of the link appears highlighted. when clicked, the user is sent to the login page again!?!
i'm no asp expert (by no means) so if you could point me in the right direction to either fix, or remove this option!?!

Does this happen only when sending the password link to a free mail service like yahoo or hotmail?
Sometimes long URLS don't render correctly in these mail boxes, and there is nothing to do but tell your users to cut and paste, not click the link.

actually yes, and no, while testing, i used a web based e-mail address, but i tried to cut and paste the link to my browser, and all it returned is the login form, exactly as it was previously!
www.huckerz.com/forums/login.asp?target=default.asp
is the resulting page supposed to have the users name in the username field, and the password key in the password field?

changing the forum url helped, but i still had to cut and paste, that will be ok as long as i alter the e-mail message to warn users to cut and paste! |

the URL in the e-mail I received when I tested it was fine, I did not have to cut and paste it. (this was through yahoo mail). |

It looks to be a problem with the way IMail handles links in e-mails. |
