Ok, I had the wrong url in the forum configuration. I entered the correct one and now when I click on the link in the email to validate my account.. it says.. page not found....????
Any ideas?

Ok.. almost there. reading some other discussions, I reinstalled the mod with access 2000 instead of 97.
everything works except that when I click on the email link I am sent to confirm my email address I get the error that the validation key is incorrect?

Any ideas?

did you make sure to follow all of the instructions for the email val mod, including running any kind of db or setup file? Those files create the necessary tables in your database.

Can you guys be as helpful to me as you were to him....... I don't have nearly as many errors that I know of, so mine should be easy.

After I click the submit button on the registration page I get the following error...

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Field 'FORUM_MEMBERS_PENDING.M_FIRSTNAME' cannot be a zero-length string.

/forum/register.asp, line 515

I checked the field in both tables and both say it is NOT required!!! Any ideas why this may be happening.

Thanks,

You started 2 new topics about the problems you have with the same mod. Why post your question here again?
